NCC/Scout & Guides

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Unit of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, RCF Hussainpur continues to uphold the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline” by nurturing leadership, discipline, patriotism, and social responsibility among students. The NCC Unit, functioning under 21 Punjab Battalion NCC, Kapurthala, has an authorized strength of 100 cadets (50 First Year and 50 Second Year) in the Junior Division (JD) and Junior Wing (JW) categories. The unit functions under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Rosy Sharma, the committed leadership of CTO Mr. Navin Kumar
Regular Training
Throughout the academic session, NCC cadets actively participated in regular institutional training programmes that included:
Drill Practice (with and without arms)
Weapon Training and Rifle Handling
Map Reading and Field Craft
First Aid Training
NCC Organisation, Values and Leadership Development
These training activities helped develop discipline, confidence, teamwork, and leadership qualities among the cadets.
NCC Camps
Cadets enthusiastically participated in various Combined Annual Training Camps (CATCs) organized by 21 Punjab Battalion NCC at different locations, including:
CATC: 30 May 2026 – 08 June 2026 (APS BEAS)
CATC: 01 July 2026 – 10 July 2026 (PTU KAPURTHALA)
The camps provided valuable exposure to military training, personality development, adventure activities, and community living.
Achievements
The NCC Unit achieved several milestones during the academic session:
41 cadets successfully qualified the NCC ‘A’ Certificate Examination.
Cadet Akshay Sah represented the Vidyalaya in the SGFI Games.

National Days and Social Activities
NCC cadets actively participated in and contributed to various school and community programmes, including:
