Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat

Cluster level Rashtriya Ekta Parv under EBSB was organised at PM SHRI K.V. No. 1 RCF,Hussainpur on 3rd October 2024. A total 202 students from 8 Kendriya Vidyalayas participated in various cluster level
competitions, Under Amritsar Cluster of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chandigarh Region. All the competitions were conducted fairly and without any dispute under the leadership of venue Principal Mrs. Rosy Sharma. Students participated in more than a dozen competitions like group dance, group song, classical singing, traditional folk song, percussion instrument music, melodious instrumental music, classical dance, folk dance, visual art two dimensional, visual art three dimensional, indigenous toys and games, Acting /Drama, traditional storytelling, on the spot painting and artifacts display. All the competitions were conducted effectively under the coordination of the program in-charge teacher Shri Narendra Kumar Sharma. Retired Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Mr. P.R. Kalotra was honoured as the Chief Guest and Principal of nearby PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Hussainpur Shri K.K. Gherra was present as the Special Guest. The Venue Principal Mrs. Rosy Sharma gave a green welcome to the guests. She welcomed all the Escort teachers and the participants in her welcome speech. A welcome song was also presented by the tiny tots of the vidyalaya. The Chief Guest, while wishing the students in his address, said that the Kendiya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a form of miniature India, here students from different states, speaking different languages study together. It is a matter of good fortune for all
of the students to study in such an educational institution. Winning or losing in the competition does not matter, but the thing that matters is the participation is of special to sharpen the talent of the students. So, the students should continue to participate in them with great enthusiasm in future as well. Judges were called from different reputed educational institutions to give fair decisions for the competitions. It is noteworthy that in the group dance competition, K.V. No. 1 Amritsar stood first, K.V. Amrakot stood second and K.V. Bhikhiwind stood third. In the group singing competition, KV No. 2 RCF Hussainpur secured first position, KV No. 1 Amritsar and KV Kapurthala Cantt secured second and third positions respectively. In the solo competitions, all the participants represented the school by securing some position or the other and brought laurels to the school. It is worth mentioning that in the traditional story telling competition was introduced for the first time in this session and Kumari Sanuja Gupta of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Hussainpur stood first.
In the closing ceremony, the results of the competitions were announced by the Vice Principal Mrs.Raj Kumari. Everyone was thanked for their meaningful contribution to make the program successful. At the end of the programme, the members leaving for their respective schools were wished a pleasant journey and the programme was declared closed.
